Amazon reports Tomb Raider Catalyst delay to 2028
Amazon Games is delaying Tomb Raider Catalyst to 2028, with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis now slated for February 12 next year, as announced by Amazon Games chief Jeff Gattis. The two Tomb Raider titles were revealed together, but Catalyst’s shift to 2028 follows Atlantis’ earlier schedule changes and a broader strategy to build a Luna-backed content portfolio. Catalyst had been originally planned for 2027, and Atlantis was pushed to 2027 before Catalyst’s delay was confirmed. Gattis reiterated the company’s ambition to leverage Amazon IP and Luna to craft an identity around Tomb Raider and other high-profile projects. The announcements came during interviews and events surrounding The Game Awards 2025 and Amazon’s broader push into cloud gaming and Prime Video partnerships. Catalyst remains a next-gen Unreal Engine 5 title for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with Atlantis serving as a ground-up remake of the original game.
