Amber Alerts Declared in TX, MO; Child Found Safe
A cluster of Amber Alerts has been issued across Texas and neighboring areas for several suspected child abductions. In Houston’s northwest Harris County, 11-month-old Sabastian Jones was last seen July 17 in the FM 1960 area and may be with 25-year-old Alena Thornton; authorities urged calls to 9-1-1 or the Harris County Sheriff’s Office if seen. The Texas DPS issued a statewide alert for Sabastian, with Thornton described as a suspected companion and a description of Jones provided. In North Kansas City, Honor Hatch, a 12-year-old boy with mental health conditions, went missing from Armour Road and is described as endangered, with police asking for tips to locate him. In Austin, Taelin Calloway-Sorrells, a 1-year-old, was last seen in North Austin near Park Plaza Drive with suspect Taylor Calloway-King, prompting a statewide Amber Alert that urged reporting sightings to 9-1-1 or 512-974-5000. Later reports confirmed Taelin was found safe, with officials saying charges were not anticipated and investigations ongoing.
