The integration provides turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic and incident information, intuitive search, and intelligent EV routing with battery preconditioning, while supporting Ford’s Latitude AI and the next generation of BlueCruise hands-free driving. CarPlay will remain an option, but even drivers without an iPhone will access Apple Maps through the integrated system. Ford’s midsize EV is priced around $30,000, reflecting a push to make advanced technology more attainable. Apple emphasizes privacy by not collecting location data in a way that can be tied to individuals through the vehicle’s map usage. This collaboration aligns with Ford’s Route Sharing approach, which feeds phone-based routing into the car to coordinate driving maneuvers and could influence driver-assist behavior.
