The series, directed by Kenji Kamiyama with sci‑fi setting supervision by Toh EnJoe, is set roughly 100 years before the upcoming game Gundam Rogue Orbit and takes place in the After Apocalypse timeline. The protagonist Ray Azumi pilots the Gundam ZERO as humanity expands across the solar system after the three Revelations, with the story centered on the emergence of the Apocalypse and a pivotal shift in human destiny. Production is handled by SOLA ANIMATION, with Bandai Namco Filmworks confirming involvement across Gunpla kits and figure lines to accompany the project, and a 2027 premiere window for the anime. The RG project’s anime and Rogue Orbit share a continuous timeline, allowing fans to experience interconnected narratives across media formats.
