BC Partners reportedly drops $300M LIV relaunch bid

BC Partners has withdrawn its proposed financing of up to $300 million to relaunch LIV Golf for the 2027 season, after the firm failed to secure enough player commitments to meet its conditions. The decision is a major blow to the league, which entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund ended its backing; reports say LIV may now liquidate its remaining assets. LIV has said it intends to continue operating while it reorganizes, but its path forward is uncertain.
