Alaska Airlines Opens Bookings for Anchorage-Tokyo Flights in 2027

Alaska Airlines plans to launch its first nonstop Anchorage–Tokyo Narita service on May 13, 2027, pending government approval. The seasonal route is scheduled to operate daily through Sept. 7, 2027, with three weekly flights planned beginning in January 2028, using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Introductory round-trip fares start at about $999, and bookings have opened even though approval is still pending. The airline says the route responds to longstanding demand and is part of its largest-ever nonstop schedule from Alaska, which also includes planned seasonal flights from Anchorage to Nashville, Austin and Dallas–Fort Worth.
