Capitals Rally Past Panthers 4-3, End Skid

The Washington Capitals rallied to beat the Florida Panthers 4-3 at home, snapping a two-game losing streak. Brady Tkachuk scored twice in the first period, but Jack St. Ivany’s first career NHL goal and second-period goals by Alex Tuch and Aliaksei Protas put Washington ahead; Pierre-Luc Dubois added the eventual winner in the third. Tkachuk’s second goal came on a five-minute power play after Tom Wilson was ejected for boarding Sandis Vilmanis, who left the game and did not return; Sam Bennett scored late for Florida, while Capitals goalie Logan Thompson made 27 saves.
