The package totals about $950 billion in chip production, memory supply, and AI data-center investments over the next five years, backed by a government plan to build large-scale chip hubs and data centers. SK Group is pursuing around $750 billion in long-term memory-chip supply partnerships with Nvidia and other global firms, while expanding AI data-center initiatives with substantial power capacity and GPU deployment targets. The wider collaborations include Nvidia, OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS for AI data centers and memory-foundry ecosystems, signaling a formalization of Korea’s ambitions beyond a simple courting phase. Seoul frames these deals as part of an 800 trillion-won government investment to cement Korea as a trustworthy, competitive AI chip production base and key supply-chain partner.
