DP World, EBRD sign €25m green loan
DP World and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed a loan of up to €25 million to electrify the Constanța South Container Terminal in Romania, forming part of a €100 million investment program to cut more than 6,000 tonnes of CO2 annually by replacing diesel equipment with electric and adding shore power. Backed by EU and Romanian government grants and funds, the project will upgrade infrastructure and introduce electric terminal tractors and cranes to improve air quality, reduce noise, and boost reliability for customers.
