ED raids eight Bengaluru sites in ISIS probe
Investigations into ISIS recruitment and money-laundering in Bengaluru led ED and NIA to raid about eight locations, implicating Iqra Welfare Trust, Guidance for Mankind and others; the case stems from an NIA FIR and involves charges of funding, conspiracy and recruitment for ISIS. The accused allegedly ran Iqra Camp and Quran Circle to indoctrinate youths, raised funds through trusts and savings, and facilitated travel to Syria via Turkiye, with ISIS propaganda spread around anti-CAA/NRC protests and through encrypted social media.
