Pulisic, Balogun, McKennie recalled to USMNT for Nations League quarterfinals
Mauricio Pochettino has recalled Christian Pulisic, Folarin Balogun and Weston McKennie to the U.S. men’s national team for its CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal series against Haiti, the team’s first competitive matches since its World Cup round-of-16 loss to Belgium. The veterans join a largely young squad that won all four of its recent friendlies, with emerging players including Cavan Sullivan and Julian Hall retained. The U.S. will face Haiti on Nov. 14 in Miami and host the return leg on Nov. 17 in Cincinnati; Haiti must play its nominal home match in Miami because of security problems in its country. The two-leg series will decide a place in the Nations League semifinals.
