CU Boulder Student Killed, Another Critically Wounded

A 19-year-old University of Colorado Boulder student was killed and another 19-year-old student was critically injured in a shooting at a Halloween house party on University Hill late Saturday night. The killing is Boulder’s first homicide of 2026. Police say hundreds had attended the registered party. Officers began shutting it down after a noise complaint; most guests left while a smaller group remained. Investigators say a group tried to force its way into the home shortly before the shooting. Investigators are seeking to interview two people captured on video, though police have not identified them as suspects. Officers are interviewing witnesses and asking the public for help as the investigation continues.
