Metro Nashville Expands Beaman Park 300-Acre Acquisition
Nashville is expanding Beaman Park by about 300 acres of adjoining forestland, with The Conservation Fund temporarily holding the land before it is transferred to Metro Nashville Parks for permanent protection. The acquisition, funded by multiple sources including the fund, the Beaman Family, and city money, aims to safeguard one of the Southeast’s largest urban forest ecosystems, boost tree canopy, wildlife habitat, and public recreation.
