New Zealand, Philippines Forge Comprehensive Partnership
New Zealand and the Philippines formalized a Comprehensive Partnership, elevating ties across political engagement, defence and security, maritime cooperation, trade and economic ties, and people-to-people links, and they signed education and geothermal-energy cooperation agreements. The partners plan a Plan of Action, celebrate six decades of diplomatic relations, and aim to deepen defense cooperation and trade, including discussions on joining the CPTPP and boosting two-way trade toward 2030.
