Korean Public Officials Face Dismissal Over Hate Speech
South Korea's Ministry of Personnel Management will impose harsher discipline on civil servants, creating a separate hate-speech category with possible dismissal and raising minimum penalties for neglect of duty and passive administration to salary reductions; the changes take effect October 1 and will also extend accountability to managers.
