Magnolia tops Meralco for first Governors' Cup win
Magnolia finally broke into the win column with a 112-98 victory over Meralco, led by 26 points from KJ Buffen and a balanced effort from Lucero, Sangalang, Barroca, and Lastimosa as the Hotshots tightened defensively late. Meralco despite 28 points from import Antonio Hester fell to 2-2 as Magnolia snapped a two-game skid and gained momentum in the Governors’ Cup.
