The Harrisons of Virginia have shared in the 250-year history of United States politics and its governance, and have also worked in religious ministries, beginning in the Colony of Virginia. Family members include a Founding Father of the United States, Benjamin Harrison V, as well as three U.S. presidents: William Henry Harrison, Benjamin Harrison, and Abraham Lincoln. Harrisons have as well made contributions in women’s advocacy and medicine, and have served as state and local public officials. Entertainer Elvis Presley is also in their number.
