Georgia extends gas tax suspension through November 30
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp extended the state’s motor fuel tax suspension through Nov. 30, citing global market volatility and high fuel prices and aiming to ease costs for Thanksgiving travelers. The suspension waives 33.3 cents per gallon on gasoline and 37.3 cents on diesel; the state’s emergency measures also suspend some commercial vehicle weight limits and penalties for using dyed diesel on roads.
