The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is a German foundation for liberal politics, associated with but independent from the Free Democratic Party and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It was established in 1958 by Theodor Heuss, the first president of the Federal Republic of Germany. The foundation supplemented its name in 2007 with the words "for Freedom".
