Jughead is a search engine system for the Gopher protocol. It is distinct from Veronica in that it searches a single server at a time, providing a local searchable index of items on that server, as opposed to Veronica's global index of all Gopher items. Jughead supported Boolean operators and partial-word searches using an asterisk as a wildcard character.
