Reception
Kine Weekly wrote: "The story is really quite bright, and the acting has a certain engaging sincerity, but there is too much talk, and therefore too much footage. Lack of crispness and compactness, however, do not completely destroy the picture's merit as popular entertainment, and it should pass as a supporting feature in the smaller halls."
The Daily Film Renter wrote: "Bolstered up by light, irrelevant action, film has few laughs, and has been satisfactorily directed. ... Acting is on quite competent lines, Richard Dolman giving a pleasing study as the gay, debonair O'Grady. Anna Lee, as Ursula Hamilton, the girl who is engaged to Tom for only one night, gives a spirited portrayal, while Aileen Marson, as Kitty Willoughby, is effective, The entire action, with the exception of a stock shot of the race, takes place indoors, and the direction presents the film on straightforward lines."
