Plot
Clementina (Marga López) finds her marriage on the brink of collapse when her husband, Alfredo (Antonio Aguilar), demands a divorce. He finds her traditional, excessively conservative personality boring, and he has begun seeing another woman. Heartbroken and desperate to save her marriage, Clementina stands before a portrait of her late grandmother—who looks exactly like her—and tearfully prays for spiritual guidance.
To Clementina's shock, the ghost of her grandmother materializes out of the painting. Seeing her granddaughter's distress, the grandmother decides to temporarily trade places with her to teach Alfredo a lesson. While inhabiting the modern household, the assertive spirit of the grandmother completely upends the dynamic. She aggressively whips Alfredo into line, shaking his confidence and making him reconsider the divorce.
Simultaneously, the grandmother leverages her supernatural return to settle an old score with her own surviving husband, Carlos (Joaquín Pardavé). Carlos has spent the last fifty years wrongfully believing that his late wife had been unfaithful to him. Through a series of comedic, supernatural misunderstandings, the ghost successfully proves her historical innocence to Carlos while teaching the younger generation how to fight for romance. With the past rectified and Alfredo thoroughly reformed, the grandmother returns to her portrait, leaving a confident Clementina happily reunited with her devoted husband.
