Archer Aviation completed piloted flights of its all-electric Midnight air taxi around the San Francisco Bay Area, demonstrating operations in busy airspace near Oakland and other regional airports. The aircraft covered more than 200 miles and reached 131 mph; Archer plans to take its flight demonstrations to Los Angeles as it prepares for a federal eVTOL pilot program.

Operation Archer is the Canadian Forces contribution to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. It began in July 2005 with the deployment of a 220-member "theater activation team" to Kandahar.
