Paranhos is a municipality in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the Central-West Region of Brazil. According to the IBGE's current regional division, it is part of the immediate region of Amambai and the intermediate region of Dourados; in the previous 2008 division, it belonged to the Iguatemi microregion and to the Southwest of Mato Grosso do Sul mesoregion. It lies in the extreme south of the state, on the border with Paraguay, and its seat is about 456 km (283 mi) from Campo Grande by road.
