Richard C. Irvin is an American lawyer and politician who served as the mayor of Aurora, Illinois. Beginning his tenure in 2017, he lost his re-election campaign in 2025 to the Democratic Party candidate, alderman John Laesch. In 2022, he sought the Republican nomination for Illinois Governor. A Gulf War veteran, Irvin has worked as an educator and prosecutor.
