Formula 1 and the FIA confirmed that Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit will host the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia from October 2–4, 2026, effectively moving the Bahrain race to Sepang after cancellations in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia due to regional conflict. The arrangement preserves a 2026 calendar but leaves the season’s final rounds in Qatar and Abu Dhabi vulnerable to changes, with potential replacements such as Las Vegas or European venues still on the table, and it includes praise from officials and Malaysia’s leadership for hosting the event.
