Scottie Thompson is an American actress and producer. She is best known for portraying Jeanne Benoit in the CBS series NCIS. Her other television roles include Trauma, The Blacklist, 12 Monkeys, and Bel-Air, and her film appearances include Star Trek (2009), Skyline (2010), Crown Vic (2019), and Murder at Yellowstone City (2022), which she also co-produced.

Early life
Thompson was born in Richmond, Virginia, and grew up on a farm in Goochland County, outside Richmond, with two brothers and a sister. At an early age, she began to learn ballet, jazz, and modern dance. During her junior and senior years of high school, she trained daily in the trainee program of the Richmond Ballet, the state ballet of Virginia, performing in many of the company's major productions, and she took a year off after graduating to dance with the company.
She then studied for a degree in performance studies and literature at Harvard University. At Harvard, Thompson danced with the Harvard Ballet Company and acted in numerous theater productions, including Balm in Gilead and Marisol on the Loeb stages. She was the publicity manager for the Hasty Pudding Theatricals in 2003, worked for Let's Go Travel Guides, and was credited as associate editor for the travel book Let's Go: Vietnam.
Career
2006–2012: Early roles and NCIS
After graduating, Thompson landed her first role in the television show Brotherhood (2006) opposite Jason Isaacs. She then guest-starred in several television shows before landing a recurring role on the CBS show NCIS (2006–2007) as Dr. Jeanne Benoit, the girlfriend of Tony DiNozzo (played by Michael Weatherly) and the daughter of Rene Benoit (played by Armand Assante). She appeared regularly throughout season four and left the show in early season five, reappearing later that season in the episode "Internal Affairs". She then filmed the independent movie Pornstar (2008), co-starring Matthew Gray Gubler of Criminal Minds, and made guest appearances on Shark (2007), CSI: NY (2007), and Eli Stone (2008).
In 2008, Thompson appeared in the music video for Counting Crows' single "You Can't Count on Me". She also had a small part as the wife of the villain Nero in J. J. Abrams' Star Trek (2009). From 2009 to 2010, she had a main role as paramedic Diana Van Dine in the NBC medical drama Trauma. In February 2010, Thompson was cast in the Brothers Strause alien-apocalypse film Skyline, which was released in November of that year. She also appears in the Bon Jovi music video "What Do You Got?".
2013–present
In 2013, she was cast as Lauren Kincade in the USA Network TV series Graceland. In 2014, she had a recurring role as Zoe D'Antonio on the NBC drama The Blacklist. In 2015, she returned to NCIS as Dr. Jeanne Benoit. In 2016, she played the recurring role of Vivian Rutledge in the Syfy series 12 Monkeys. Her later film work includes the HBO Project Greenlight film The Leisure Class (2015), the horror films The Funhouse Massacre (2015) and Before I Wake (2016), and the police thriller Crown Vic (2019).
In 2021, Thompson was announced as part of the recurring cast of Bel-Air, Peacock's dramatic reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, playing Angela Wilkes. In 2022, she starred as Emma Dunnigan in the Western mystery Murder at Yellowstone City alongside Gabriel Byrne and Thomas Jane, on which she also served as a co-producer. She also starred opposite Finn Wittrock in the independent film Start Without Me. In 2026, she appeared as Lena in the action thriller Hellfire, alongside Stephen Lang, Harvey Keitel, and Dolph Lundgren.
On stage, Thompson has appeared in world premiere readings of John Patrick Shanley's Drop Off at the Marilyn Monroe Theater in Hollywood, as well as in the world premiere of Shanley's short play On the Terrace.
Other work and activism
Thompson is a contributing writer for the magazine Art Confidential: LA, writing about writers, visual artists, and exhibitions. She is involved in environmental activism and serves as a Global Ambassador for the Amazônia Fund Alliance Program.
