Supremacy

Supremacy (foaled 28 March 2018) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He was one of the best two-year-old colts in Europe in 2020 when he won three of his four races including the Richmond Stakes and the Middle Park Stakes. Background Supremacy is a bay colt with a white blaze and a white sock on his right hind leg bred in Ireland by the Hong Kong-based Kangyu International Racing. As a yearling he was offered for sale at Goffs in November 2019 and was bought for £65,000 by the trainer Clive Cox. He entered the ownership of Jason Goddard and was taken into training by Cox at Lambourn, Berkshire. He was from the first crop of foals sired by Mehmas who won the July Stakes and the Richmond Stakes in 2016 before being retired at the end of his two-year-old season. Supremacy's dam Triggers Broom showed no racing ability, failing to win or place in her five starts, but was a half-sister to the Champions Mile winner Xtension. She was a female-line descendant of the British broodmare Bongrace, making her a distant relative of Blushing John, Royal Diamond and Hurricane Run. Racing career
