LIV Golf Sued for $1 Million by Mobii
Mobii Systems Group Ltd. has filed a Miami federal lawsuit against LIV Golf for more than $1.13 million, alleging the league breached a two-year contract by failing to pay $820,600 in licensing fees and $104,500 in usage fees for the 2026 season, plus $209,531 in lost revenue from the final six events. The complaint also claims LIV terminated the agreement early, extending through December 31, 2026, which Mobii says caused the revenue loss. Mobii provided the streaming technology behind LIV’s "Any Shot, Any Time" platform, which allowed live shot tracking for fans. LIV had paid all invoices for 2025, but a May notice signaled the suspension of the product as LIV reviewed its business model, partnerships, and cost structure, a move Mobii says preceded the lawsuit. The suit arrives as LIV’s financial situation remains uncertain following the Public Investment Fund’s decision to slow or halt further funding after this season. The case underscores persistent tensions over payments and the future viability of LIV’s operations beyond 2026.
