Samsung Unveils Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Watch 9
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9, pairing rugged builds with a broader set of health features. The Ultra 2 retains a large 800 mAh battery, a 5,000-nit display, and a slimmer 47 mm titanium body, and now includes enhanced outdoor sensors with IP69K and EN13319 certifications for diving. A new Mares-developed Diving app will track depth and other data, expanding its dive capabilities. AI health tools such as Heart Health Score, Vitals monitoring, Sleep Apnea detection, Daily Cardio Load, and a Fitness Index are highlighted for actionable wellness insights. The Watch 9 emphasizes everyday health tracking, with incremental battery and storage gains and a 3,000-nit display. Availability begins with July pre-orders in select markets and general release in August, with Ultra 2 priced around $699.99.
