Lionel Messi scored twice in four minutes as Inter Miami beat Atlanta United 3-1, extending the club’s winning streak to three games. German Berterame opened the scoring just before halftime, and Messi added goals in the 56th and 60th minutes to take his league-leading total to 25. Atlanta’s Fafa Picault converted a late penalty, but Miami held on for the win. Messi also reached 15 assists for the season, becoming the first player in MLS history to record at least that many in three consecutive seasons.
