WNBA Finals Set Viewership, Attendance Records
The Golden State Valkyries’ title-clinching Game 7 against the Atlanta Dream drew 3.3 million viewers, setting a WNBA playoff-game record and making it the league’s most-watched game since 1997. The seven-game Finals averaged about 1.9 million viewers, the highest average since 1999, while the 2026 postseason also set records for attendance and gate revenue. The Valkyries quickly became the league’s best-selling championship team, with merchandise sales surpassing those from the 30 days after the previous year’s title by 42 percent. The Finals will return to ESPN in 2027.
