Taiwanese contract manufacturer Wistron opened its first U.S. facility in Fort Worth, Texas, a $700 million, 324,000-square-foot plant that currently produces Nvidia's GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip and is slated to add the Vera Rubin Superchip. The project has boosted Wistron's stock by about 9.7% and positions the plant as a core engine of its American manufacturing operations, expanding domestic capacity for Nvidia's AI servers. The plant strengthens Nvidia's U.S. supply chain and supports its DSX-driven, energy-efficient AI factory initiative by enabling closer, faster production. Industry observers view the move as part of a broader trend of Taiwanese tech giants expanding manufacturing in the United States to meet surging AI infrastructure demand. The facility is expected to eventually produce next-generation chips and create hundreds to thousands of local jobs, signaling a shift in global AI hardware manufacturing and underscoring growing demand for AI factories worldwide.
