Tesla plans to wind down Cybertruck production at its Texas factory around mid-2027 to make room for increased Cybercab production, according to a statement attributed to CEO Elon Musk. Musk has not said whether Cybertruck production will end entirely or move to another facility, and Tesla has not provided a detailed plan. The shift comes as the Cybertruck has struggled to sustain demand and faced recalls, quality-control concerns and price changes. It also reflects Tesla’s growing focus on the Cybercab and its robotaxi ambitions.

They should at least confirm whether Cybertruck production moves or stops for good before this change.
Focusing on robotaxis instead could pay off if the Cybercab actually delivers on cost and reliability.
It's a shame to see the Cybertruck line scaled back when so many orders are still waiting.
