The Illini tightened their play after the break, outscoring the Titans 48-18; Berry Wallace had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Cearah Parchment added 22 points and 11 rebounds. Illinois followed with a 99-28 victory over Southern, shooting 57% and turning 21 turnovers and 17 offensive rebounds into 40 points and 25 second-chance points, respectively. Parchment led the rout with 18 points.
