Iga Swiatek defeated Marie Bouzkova 7-6(3), 7-6(3) to reach the US Open fourth round, overcoming a second-set deficit and saving three set points before prevailing in both tiebreaks. The 2022 champion, who has endured the most difficult season of her career, said the match featured long rallies and was physically demanding. Swiatek will next face Zheng Qinwen, who mounted a dramatic comeback against Madison Keys after trailing 5-0 in the deciding set, winning 1-6, 7-6(7-3), 7-5. The matchup is a rematch of the Paris 2024 Olympic semifinal, where Zheng ended Swiatek’s 25-match winning streak, and marks a significant milestone in Zheng’s return from elbow surgery.

Zheng coming back like that shows real fight. A rematch with Swiatek after their Olympic final would be a great watch.
Two tiebreaks in one match says a lot about how tight her game is right now, but she found a way through. Gutsy stuff.
