President Donald Trump on Thursday, Oct. 29, canceled planned weekend rallies in Salina, Kansas, and Dubuque, Iowa. MAGA Inc said it would host tele-rallies with him in at least 19 states, including Kansas and Iowa, before the Nov. 3 midterms. He is still expected to appear Friday in Daytona Beach, Florida. Since Oct. 1 he has held 25 rallies in 19 states. Of Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall, Trump said, "He is doing very well." He added, "We are going to have a strong Tuesday night." The Republican National Committee said Republicans were in a strong position in Kansas and Iowa. After campaigning in South Carolina for Sen. Darline Graham, Trump told a Reuters reporter, "I feel perfect," called him "disgusting," and said "Put yourself in shape." Sounding hoarse in Mississippi on Oct. 26, he said, "God didn't make your vocal cords to do a rally every day." A CNN poll Thursday called the Kansas Senate race between Marshall and Democrat Adam Hamilton too close to call. The Iowa race between Rep. Ashley Hinson and state Rep. Josh Turek is also close in campaign trail accounts The White House did not publicly explain the shift. Some coverage noted speculation about Trump's health.

Saying he feels perfect is one thing but dropping Kansas and Iowa stops might still hurt turnout among his core supporters there.
Trump canceling in-person events for phone rallies in 19 states shows he's adapting to reach more voters without overextending.
