No. 14 Tennessee Upsets No. 6 Alabama 26-10

No. 14 Tennessee upset No. 6 Alabama 26-10 in Knoxville, improving to 6-1 and strengthening its SEC and College Football Playoff prospects. The Volunteers forced four turnovers, held Alabama to 201 total yards and no second-half points, and got 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns from DeSean Bishop. Alabama fell to 5-2 after consecutive losses to Georgia and Tennessee, committing four turnovers and managing just 54 rushing yards; the defeats weakened its playoff outlook and intensified scrutiny of coach Kalen DeBoer. Tennessee fans stormed the field, and the school is expected to face a $500,000 SEC fine payable to Alabama under the league’s policy. Tennessee next travels to South Carolina, while Alabama hosts Texas A&M in a pivotal game.
