Syracuse defeated North Carolina 31-30 in overtime, snapping an 11-game ACC losing streak. The Orange moved to 3-4 overall and 1-4 ACC while UNC fell to 4-3 and 2-2. Ahmad Miller rushed for 125 yards on 30 carries and scored on a leaping two-yard touchdown. Steve Angeli threw for 256 yards on 20-of-34 passes. Umari Hatcher caught a 76-yard touchdown among 4 receptions for 103 yards. Calvin Russell caught the overtime touchdown and game-winning two-point conversion. After Syracuse tied late, Shay Barker missed the extra point; the defense forced a fourth-down sack to reach overtime. Fran Brown said the running backs "They did an amazing job." After a pregame talk with alumni Rob Konrad and Cory Bowen, he added: "To see our running back go out there and be able to do that after talking to them earlier just brings a lot back." Left-rated headlines cast Syracuse as a 10.5 underdog and stressed a gutsy two-point conversion. Right-rated outlets led with snapping the ACC skid and the 11-game losing streak.

Angeli and Russell making the big plays when it counted. Nice to see the streak end.
Syracuse really turned it around after trailing by 10. That overtime win must feel great after so many losses.
