WVU, Texas Tech Set for ESPN Night Game

West Virginia will visit No. 13 Texas Tech on Nov. 7 in a nationally televised ESPN game, kicking off at 8:30 p.m. Central time (9:30 p.m. Eastern). The Mountaineers are 5-3 and coming off a 24-20 win at TCU before their bye week, while the 7-1 Red Raiders beat Arizona 34-26; WVU dropped three spots to No. 64 in ESPN’s Football Power Index during the week off. Both teams bring potent offenses, with West Virginia averaging 35.9 points and 261.6 rushing yards per game, but the Mountaineers’ defense has struggled, allowing 32.3 points and 483.9 yards per game. Texas Tech has been especially strong against the run, allowing 94.9 rushing yards per game, setting up a key contrast with WVU’s ground attack.
