Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks was ejected in the third quarter after officials upgraded his foul on Jamal Murray to a Flagrant 2. Brooks attempted a turnaround jumper; his leg kicked forward in mid-air and struck Murray in the groin. Murray fell, stayed down in pain, then remained in the game. Denver won 127-120 at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix on Friday, Oct. 30-31, 2026. The call came with 8:05 left in the third. Brooks finished with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting in about 21 minutes. Murray had 39 points, including 7-of-9 threes. Christian Braun scored 31 for Denver. No factual dispute found among outlets on the play sequence or result. Murray said he did not believe the kick was intentional: "No, of course not," he said. "He's shooting the ball. I mean, he might have flopped a little bit, but I don't think he's really trying to kick me in the [groin]." He and Brooks are Canadian national teammates. Heavy compared the contact to a prior Draymond Green leg foul. Brooks has said of his on-court image, "I'm not that person that they see between the lines," and described himself as a laid-back guy who takes care of family. His next game is Monday against Golden State.

No right coverage yet — a bubble gap.
Phoenix really took a hit losing Brooks after he put up 22 points, their bench is going to feel that absence the rest of the way.
Brooks should know better than to kick a guy in the groin like that, even if it was accidental the flagrant two was the right call.
