Chet Holmgren underwent a biological treatment on Oct. 30 for a small tear in his right patellar tendon. The Thunder said the treatment was successful and he is expected to miss 8 to 10 weeks and make a full recovery. He first felt mild discomfort after the Oct. 25 win over the Clippers and then missed the next two games. The team said consultations with specialists led to the treatment that day. Jalen Williams suffered a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle in that same Clippers game and had surgery. Cason Wallace tore his left labrum, later had surgery in Los Angeles, and will be reevaluated before the regular season ends. Oklahoma City opened 4-0 and stood 4-1 heading into a Rockets game. Holmgren was drafted No. 2 overall in 2022. Shams Charania reported the Holmgren timeline. Contested. Reports list Alex Caruso (ankle), Nikola Topic (back), and Thomas Sorber (knee) as also sidelined; how far those absences stretch is not settled in the record. Return dates for Williams and Wallace past Wallace's planned reevaluation remain unresolved.

“Thunder injury update: Chet Holmgren out 8-10 weeks, Cason Wallace undergoes shoulder surgery”Right· 2 sources
Eight to ten weeks out feels like a major setback for a young roster trying to build consistency this season.
Wallace's surgery adds another layer, Oklahoma City needs role players to fill big gaps over the next couple months.
This knee injury to Holmgren hits hard with Williams already sidelined, the Thunder will struggle to maintain their frontcourt strength.
