Burnham and Trump agree to keep pushing for Ukraine ceasefire

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham and current U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to continue pursuing a ceasefire in Ukraine to prevent further loss of life. Burnham reaffirmed Britain’s support for Ukraine and recent U.S.-led peace negotiations, following meetings by U.S. envoys with Russian and Ukrainian officials aimed at reviving stalled talks. No breakthrough was announced, though the envoys described their Kyiv discussions as encouraging and said further negotiations could follow. The leaders also discussed Middle East peace, including a two-state solution, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. European leaders, including Burnham, are expected to visit Washington in September to press for additional U.S. Patriot missile support for Ukraine before winter.

Glad to see the Middle East and Iran still on the agenda too, can't let Ukraine talks crowd everything else out.
Nice words about ceasefires are cheap, what matters is whether Russia actually agrees to sit down.
Patriot missiles before winter would actually make a real difference on the ground, hope this moves fast.
