Zelensky Plane Nearly Hit by Drone, Norway Says

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said a drone nearly hit Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plane as it took off from Moldova en route to Oslo. Norwegian Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg said Zelenskyy reported delays and threats to the aircraft, while a Ukrainian presidential source said an alert was triggered after a Russian drone entered Moldovan and Romanian airspace and described claims that Zelenskyy was directly at risk as exaggerated. Zelenskyy traveled to Oslo for King Harald V’s funeral and met Norwegian officials to discuss military and civilian aid, additional air-defense and anti-ballistic capabilities, and potential cooperation between Norwegian and Ukrainian defense industries.
