Jayden Daniels Ruled Out With Elbow Injury Against Cowboys

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was carted off with an aircast after a left-elbow injury on the final play of the first half against the Dallas Cowboys and was ruled out. The injury came on a 4th-down attempt from the 1-yard line when Daniels braced a fall with his left non-throwing arm after being stepped on near the goal line. Before exiting he completed 11 of 17 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown and rushed 7 times for 69 yards. Marcus Mariota replaced him and completed 11 of 16 for 111 yards and a touchdown as Dallas won 37-20. Tom Brady, on the broadcast, said "Oh, s***" watching the replay, then "Sorry. I wasn't expecting to see that." Head Topics reported left guard Logan Paul stepped on Daniels' foot as he turned from center; the wire said Daniels stumbled or was stepped on.
