Heat Edge Clippers in Overtime Road Win
Klay Thompson’s corner three with one second left in overtime lifted the Miami Heat to a 117-116 comeback road win over the Los Angeles Clippers, ending Miami’s three-game skid and extending Los Angeles’ losing streak to seven. Miami trailed by 20 in the second quarter and by 10 late in the fourth before tightening its defense and rallying to force overtime. Bam Adebayo led the Heat with season highs of 35 points and 10 rebounds, Thompson scored 30, and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 27 points and 14 rebounds. Darius Garland scored 26 for the Clippers, whose 18 turnovers, including costly late mistakes, helped squander the lead.
