Winless Dolphins Plan Tweaks Ahead of Jets

After a bye week, Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley says the 0-5 team reviewed its approach and made modest adjustments rather than undertaking a wholesale overhaul as it prepares to face the Jets and begin AFC East play. Miami is also evaluating Kaytron Allen, a rookie running back added off waivers to bolster a backfield hit by De’Von Achane’s season-ending injury; Allen could spell Ollie Gordon II, particularly with Jaylen Wright managing a foot issue. Hafley said receiver Caleb Douglas, guard Jonah Savaiinaea and cornerback JuJu Brents are working back from injuries, while Wright could also progress in practice this week. The updates offer Miami a chance to get reinforcements as it looks to turn its season around.

Hope Douglas and Savaiinaea return soon since the line and receiving group have been struggling.
Adding Allen is a smart move for depth but the real test is how the offense looks against the Jets.
The Dolphins need more than tweaks at this point if they want to avoid a winless season.
