Two-Time Champion Meyer Joins Florida Ring of Honor
Urban Meyer was inducted into the Florida Gators’ Ring of Honor during Saturday’s game against Oklahoma, becoming the first honoree since Tim Tebow in 2018. Meyer went 65-15 as Florida’s coach from 2005 to 2010, winning national championships in 2006 and 2008 and two SEC titles. He joins Gators greats including Steve Spurrier, Emmitt Smith, Danny Wuerffel, Wilber Marshall, Jack Youngblood and Tebow. Meyer called the recognition humbling, while current coach Jon Sumrall praised his teams’ toughness and leadership as Florida looks to revive that identity.
