Democrat Becca Balint won reelection to Vermont’s lone U.S. House seat, defeating Republican Gerald Malloy to secure a third term. The Associated Press called the race early, with results showing Balint well ahead. Balint said she would continue focusing on lowering costs, protecting rights, bringing federal resources to Vermont and holding the Trump administration accountable. The candidates both emphasized affordability during the campaign; Malloy had argued that his business experience could help attract investment.
