Democrat Janelle Stelson defeated seven-term Republican incumbent Scott Perry to flip Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, becoming the first Democrat to represent the district in its current form and the first woman elected to represent central Pennsylvania in Congress. With nearly all votes counted, Stelson led by about 10 percentage points, reversing her narrow loss to Perry in 2024. The former television news anchor said she would listen to constituents and focus on lowering costs, making health care more affordable, addressing corruption and protecting Social Security. Perry campaigned on cutting taxes and regulation and had been a prominent conservative voice in the House; the closely watched rematch drew heavy outside spending and national attention.

A former news anchor winning this district is interesting. Lowering everyday costs will matter more than anything else she does in Congress.
Perry held on for years but voters wanted something different this time. Hope she follows through on listening to everyone in the district instead of just one side.
Stelson finally flipped the seat after that close call last year. Focusing on costs and health care sounds like the right priorities for us here.
